About ZZ Plant
While the ZZ plant is simply an abbreviation of its botanical name, Zamioculcas Zamiifolia, we here at Prickle often think of it as the “zzz” plant because of its somewhat sleepy nature. You can leave this plant to enjoy its beauty sleep as it rarely needs to be watered, only when the soil is dry. Watch out for overwatering, as this can cause it to droop. This tall, indoor plant is an average grower and won't get bigger than 1m in height.
The laid-back ZZ plant loves a dry environment so avoid misting it and keep it away from your bathroom or kitchen. A fan of the shade, you can place this houseplant in bright, indirect sunlight or a darker corner of your home. Keep your African Zamioculcas Zamiifolia nice and cosy in temperatures of 15-24°C, although this relaxed plant can handle as low as 7°C if needed. Don't let pets or children disturb the ZZ plant as it is poisonous to them.
At Prickle, we are always here to hear you! Send us your ZZ Plant questions @Prickleplantsuk.
