About Yucca

Popular in the '80s, the Yucca plant is a classic for any plant parent. Give it a home in your hallway and watch as it grows. The Yucca plant is a classic for indoor jungles, not only is it a popular choice now but it was essential for home decor during the 80's. Mainly due to its low maintenance care and leaves that love to stand out, the Yucca plant doesn't look like it will be going out of style any time soon.

The easy-going Yucca Elephantipes can handle temperatures as low as 7°C so it doesn't matter how warm you like your home, but if it is too cold it will get spots on its leaves. This Mexican native is a sun lover, so keep in direct sunlight and avoid the mist as it loves it nice and dry!

Your Yucca plant needs regular watering and will turn yellow if it is overwatered. To keep it looking fabulous, make sure you prune away any old leaves. Still not convinced this is the Prickle Plant for you? This tall, indoor plant is a slow grower and won't get bigger than 2.5m. Keep your Yucca plant away from pets and small children as it is toxic to them.

At Prickle, we are always here to hear you! Send us your Yucca Plant questions @Prickleplantsuk.
