About Watermelon Peperomia

The Watermelon Peperomia plant is nicknamed for its unique leaves that resemble miniature watermelons. This small (max 30cm), slow-growing, indoor plant is perfect at home or in the office. Originating from South America, the Peperomia Argyreia can handle low light and will still thrive in an office under artificial lights.

The Watermelon Leaf Plant rarely needs watering (be sure to water it from the bottom when you do) - so it doesn't matter if you're not in the office all the time. While it prefers it to be around 18-21°C (we have to agree) it doesn't mind if someone cranks down the AC to as low as 10°C. Quite frankly, this Prickle Plant is more laid-back than we are - no way would we thrive at work in 10°C!

If you happen to be away from the office and come back to find it has broken stems; don't worry! This plant has very delicate stems so this can happen and they will grow back. If the stems are particularly long, give it a little extra light to boost its growth. If you can't bear to be away from your Watermelon Peperomia and want to take it home, don't worry as it's also pet-friendly!

At Prickle, we are always here to hear you! Send us your Watermelon Peperomia questions @prickleplantsuk.
