About Silver Queen Plant

The Silver Queen earned its name thanks to its beautiful leaves that have a silvery sheen to them. This unique plant is shade tolerant and thrives best in indirect sunlight. Too much light and your Philodendron Hastatum's leaves may yellow. However, don't make the mistake of leaving it completely out of the limelight, or its stem may become leggy.

Like any good royal, the Silver Queen knows a bit of climbing is good, so this Prickle Plant will need a moss pole as it grows. A fast grower, this climbing house plant will reach a maximum height of 2m tall.

This South American/Caribbean queen likes it nice and warm (18-26°C) but can handle as low as 15°C. Regularly water and mist your silver Philodendron to keep it looking ready for its subjects. Unlike Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth, the Silver Queen isn't a Corgi fan, and it is toxic to children and pets.

At Prickle, we are always here to hear you! Send us your Silver Queen questions @prickleplantsuk.
