About Red Lady's Eardrops

The Red Lady's Eardrop, scientifically known as Fuchsia Beacon, is a robust and visually striking variety of Hardy Fuchsia, perfect for adding vibrant colour to any garden. Known for its abundant, eye-catching red and purple flowers, this Fuchsia variety is a favourite among gardeners looking for a reliable and long-lasting display of blooms.

The Beacon Fuchsia produces elegant, pendulous flowers that bloom from early summer through to the first frost, providing a continuous splash of colour. The vivid red sepals contrast beautifully with the deep purple petals, making this plant a standout feature in borders, containers, or hanging baskets. Its upright growth habit also makes it an excellent choice for mixed plantings or as a focal point in smaller garden spaces.

The Fuchsia Beacon is an average grower. It prefers a location with partial shade, where it can avoid the hottest part of the day, and thrives in well-drained soil. While it is a hardy plant, regular watering is important to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, ensuring the plant remains healthy and blooming throughout the season.

At Prickle, we're passionate about helping you nurture every plant in your garden. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us @prickleplantsuk.
