About Polka Dot Begonia
As you might have guessed from the name the Polka Dot Plant has beautiful polka dot patterned foliage. Perhaps even more striking than the pattern is the colour of this unique plant. If the looks of this gorgeous pink indoor plant alone aren't enough to convince you to buy one, their low-maintenance care should.
Caring for Begonias is pretty simple. Originating from Madagascar, they like to be kept in hot, humid environments (18-30°C). The ideal home for your Polka Dot plant is in your bathroom in bright, indirect sunlight. However, they will do well in a living room if you give them occasional misting and regular watering. Be sure to let the soil dry out before watering or its leaves may become soggy. If you're under watering the Polka Dot plant, you'll notice its leaves will begin to brown.
To keep your Polka Dot Begonia looking its best, trim it in spring and summer to allow new growth to come through. During this time, they'll grow at a pretty steady pace and will reach maximum heights of 1.5m. If you have any young children or pets, be sure to keep them away from this pretty pink house plant. While their candy floss colours may look good enough to eat, please don't as it's toxic when ingested.
