An occasional spray of mist is my beauty secret to looking fabulous!

Top tip

Once you find the perfect spot for your Lil' Variegated Weeping Fig, keep it there, it isn't the biggest fan of change.

About Lil' Variegated Weeping Fig

While the 'weeping' part of the Lil' Variegated Weeping Fig's name may make you imagine it is a difficult, diva plant, the Ficus Benjamina Samantha is surprisingly low maintenance. It's happy in a wide range of temperatures, 16-21°C is ideal, but it can handle as low as 12°C. This sun-loving Lil' Prick enjoys basking in bright, indirect sunlight and needs to be regularly watered. Your Lil' Variegated Weeping Fig likes average humidity, so it thrives best in rooms like the bedroom, living room, or hallway.

This Lil' Prick is somewhat of a home bird and isn't fond of being moved around much, so try to pick a spot and stick to it. Be sure to pick a spot that is out of reach from little Pricklettes, as the Lil' Ficus Benjamina Samantha isn't pet-friendly. This also means that when it first arrives it may live up to its weeping reputation and appear forlorn following delivery. Don't worry though, give it plenty of love, attention, and space, and after a month or so it will perk up. If it's still depressed you can always try a big bucket of ice cream and a chick flick - what do you mean that only works on people? Hmm, we're not sure… better try it just in case!

At Prickle, we are always here to hear you! Send us your Variegated Weeping Fig baby plant questions @prickleplantsuk.
