Top tip

This climbing plant will need a hand as it grows large. Use bamboo sticks while it's small to keep your Swiss Cheese Plant upright.

About Lil' Swiss Cheese Plant

Your Monstera Deliciosa baby plant won't come with the iconic swiss cheese holes (officially called fenestrations). Instead, it will have heart-shaped leaves for the first 1 to 3 years. Your little Swiss Cheese plant is a climber and will need a helping hand staying upright as it grows to heights of up to 3m. While your Monstera Deliciosa is a baby plant, use bamboo sticks to help its large leaves stand tall.

Let your Cheese Plant grow to its full potential by regularly repotting it, but be sure to give it the room it needs to become that 'monstera' plant. We think it's best suited for a large living room or bay window.

Your baby Mexican Cheese plant likes a warm room (18-27°C), but it can handle temperatures as low as 12°C. Cheese plant care is simple, keep it in bright, indirect sunlight and regularly water and mist it. If you see brown spots developing you are overwatering it. Don't let the cheese part of its name fool you, this Prickle plant is toxic when ingested so keep pets and children away.

At Prickle, we are always here to hear you! Send us your Monstera Deliciosa baby plant questions @prickleplantsuk.
