About Lil' Ponytail Palm
This Lil' Prick's trunk may resemble an elephant's foot, it's named the Ponytail Palm thanks to its delicate leaves. One of our most popular plants, the laid-back Lil' Ponytail Palm is low-maintenance and gets along with everyone - including pets.
Like one of its namesakes, the Elephants Foot is a sun lover, enjoying bright, indirect sunlight and temperatures between 17-22°C. It also stores water in its trunk, so it rarely needs watering. If its leaves begin looking a bit brown and parched, give it some more mist and its mane will soon be glossy and gorgeous again. The Beaucarnea Nolina can reach giant proportions of 2.5 metres but don't worry, it takes its time growing slowly - so it's more likely your Lil' Prick palm will be more of a shetland than an elephant.
Give your Nolina some space, it likes to be left alone and overwatering is a common killer! Pop your Lil' Ponytail Palm in a bathroom or kitchen to soak up the humidity, and watch as it slowly grows.
At Prickle, we are always here to hear you! Send us your Ponytail Palm baby plant questions @prickleplantsuk.
