About Lil' Golden Princess

The Lil' Golden Princess is a modern-day Rapunzel, but instead of trailing, it climbs! This fast-growing baby plant can reach heights of up to 6 meters in its wild South American home, but don't worry, it will only reach a maximum of height of 1.2 meters. To help it climb, use a bamboo stick.

Just like Rapunzel, the baby Golden Princess' crowning glory is its foliage. Its stunning leaves can grow up to 30cm and have a dark copper/gold colour on the underside. To keep its mane shining, wipe its leaves regularly to allow the sunshine in from a bright, indirect source, though it can handle a little bit of shade.

The Philodendron Golden Princess doesn't need to wash its locks every day, just make sure you give it water when the top two inches of soil are dry and an occasional sprits of mist. While it may be regal, your Lil' Golden Princess isn't pet friendly. Perhaps it heard about Goldilocks and thought it would steer clear of all animals?

At Prickle, we are always here to hear you! Send us your Philodendron Golden Princess baby plant questions @prickleplantsuk.
