About Coconut Palm

The Cocos Nucifera is the best palm tree for a minimal home. This tall, indoor plant originated in Asia and has been around since 1BC! When we think of coconut trees, we often imagine the giant towering ones we see on beaches, but this lovely Prickle palm is perfect for your home as it will only grow (and slowly) to 1.5m!

Your Coconut Palm loves it nice and warm - ideally 20-24°C (or 18°C minimum) - and it’s a sun lover, so keep it in bright, indirect sunlight. To best care for your Cocos Nucifera, mist and water them regularly. If its leaves are browning, move it into a room with higher humidity.

Be careful not to overwater your Coconut Palm or the leaves will start to yellow. With age, the leaves will turn yellow at the edges, so don't worry and leave them be. Not only is the Cocos Nucifera beautiful, but it's pet friendly too!

At Prickle, we are always here to hear you! Send us your Coconut Palm questions @Prickleplantsuk.
