About Cast Iron Plant

The Cast Iron Plant is for everyone who can not keep their jungle friends alive. Its nickname comes from the plants' sturdiness and tough constitution, making it practically invincible - never say never though.

Aspidistra Elatior plant care is easy and low-maintenance. They love indirect sunlight but will survive happily in a shaded corner, just make sure the temperature is between 15-29°C. Give your Cast Iron water regularly, but don't worry if you forget for a few weeks, they will bounce right back when you get around to it. They don't like to sit in water though, so make sure your pot has good drainage.

Understanding what your Cast Iron plant needs is equally simple, if its leaves start to brown it needs more water, if they're yellowing it needs less, and if it has scorch marks move it out of the sun. Mist occasionally and clean its leaves to keep it looking its best.

As if that wasn't reason enough to buy they are also non-toxic (so they're child and pet friendly). Cast Iron plants are slow growers, only reaching a maximum height of 1m, so they won't outgrow their space quickly. This Victorian-time favourite creates a vintage look and is perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, and home offices.
